Edwin and Lois Markel celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary
on  June 21, 2007 with all 5 of their sons  and their wives
at Comus Inn in Dickerson, Md.
Also on June 30, 2007, The Markel sons and  loved ones hosted a surprise
60th anniversary party for Edwin and Lois at Gethsemane Baptist Church
in Glenwood, Md. They provided hot dinner, showed their old pictures on
slide projector and had a lovely cake. Edwin and Lois thanked for all.
Edwin and Lois (Cooper) were married on June 21,1947
at the home of  the bride s parents in Rocky Mount, NC.
Lois attended at North Carolina  School for the deaf in Morganton, NC.
Edwin graduated from the Maryland School for the deaf in Frederick MD.
They have lovely 14 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
